Today, we will introduce you to the type of plastic used in our factory to produce pallet baskets, which are recyclable, help reducing environmental impact. This plastic is called High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE).
What is HDPE?
HDPE stands for High-Density Polyethylene, a polymer made from ethylene gas through a process that adds substances allowing it to polymerize under various pressures. This results in polymers with molecular weights ranging from low (resembling oils or thick wax) to high (resembling flexible solids).
Why choose HDPE for pallet baskets?
HDPE is known for its strong intermolecular forces, making it tough, durable, and resistant to temperature changes. While it is rigid, it can stretch significantly without breaking. Its high density provides excellent impact resistance, chemical resistance, and performance in both heat and cold. Our HDPE pallet baskets can withstand temperatures from -30°C to 80°C, making them suitable for both acidic and alkaline products while remaining highly resistant to chemicals. This is why our factory uses HDPE for manufacturing pallet baskets.
Benefits of HDPE Pallet Baskets
Given HDPE's advantages, let’s explore the benefits of our large mesh pallet baskets—the only one in Thailand.
Our baskets are designed to be thick, strong, and durable, preventing impacts, breaks, and bending, which extends their lifespan. The properties of HDPE make these baskets both tough and flexible. The mesh design ensures excellent ventilation, water resistance, and prevents moisture buildup. They are also easy to clean and reinforced with a rib structure for added strength. Measuring 119x119x90 cm externally and 110x110x73 cm internally, with a capacity of 883 Liters, these baskets weigh only 35 kg but can support up to 1 ton per layer and can be stacked multiple layers high.
These baskets are ideal for various transportation needs, including packing agricultural products, moving heavy items, and industrial use. They can be easily moved with forklifts, making the transportation process quicker and more time efficient. They also help improve warehouse organization by providing systematic, categorized, and orderly storage.
